Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem is to tackle latest developments in a televised speech afternoon on Tuesday.
His eminence will speak at 17:00 (Beirut time), during a memorial ceremony in tribute of senior commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Mohammad Saeed Izadi.
Brig. Gen. Izadi, also known with his nom de guerre “Hajj Ramadan”, was martyred in the recent Israeli aggression on Iran.

Sheikh Qassem’s speech comes as the Lebanese State is subjected to unprecedented pressure by the United States, the first sponsor of the Zionist entity, to tackle the issue of “disarming Hezbollah.”
In his latest speech last Wednesday (July 30), Sheikh Qassem stressed that Washington wants the disarmament of the Resistance to serve ‘Israel’, rather than to maintain Lebanon’s internal security.
“Every call to surrender arms is a call to relinquish Lebanon’s strength. Arms are not more important than reconstruction and halting the aggression,” Sheikh Qassem said.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb southern Lebanon almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.
The Zionist occupation has also struck Beirut four times since the ceasefire agreement.
At least 230 Lebanese people have been martyred in the Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect on November 27, 2024.
