Cities across the Arab world, Europe, and Latin America witnessed massive demonstrations over the weekend, as protesters condemned Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza and demanded immediate humanitarian access for the besieged population.
The rallies—spanning continents—called for an end to what demonstrators described as a genocidal campaign by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza, involving mass killings, starvation tactics, and forced displacement. Protesters urged their governments to take decisive action, including sanctions, arms embargoes, and severing political ties with the Israeli occupation.
Morocco: “Gaza Starving Under Fire”
In Tangier, northern Morocco, thousands gathered on Saturday night to reaffirm solidarity with Palestine and denounce Israel’s campaign of displacement and starvation. “The people want the liberation of Palestine” and “No to Zionism, no to American imperialism,” protesters chanted, expressing outrage at global inaction in the face of Israel’s continued assault.

Tunisia, Turkey, and Europe: United in Outrage
In Tunis, hundreds affiliated with the “Flotilla of Resilience” and “Friends of Palestine” marched in front of the municipal theatre, denouncing the blockade and collective punishment of Gaza.
In Istanbul, thousands joined the “Be Hope for Gaza” march, organized by the Palestine Solidarity Platform—a coalition of 15 Turkish civil organizations. The crowd chanted, “Murderous Israel, get out of Palestine” and “The children of Gaza are waiting for us.”
Amsterdam saw massive crowds calling on the Dutch government to impose strict sanctions on the Israeli enemy and sever military and political ties. Protesters vowed to sustain pressure through ongoing demonstrations.
In Stockholm, demonstrators demanded an immediate ceasefire, condemned the Israeli occupation’s starvation tactics, and rejected its plans to occupy and ethnically cleanse Gaza. They urged Western governments to impose real consequences on Israel and recognize a fully sovereign Palestinian state.

Calls were also made to prosecute Israeli military and political leaders for genocide and for citizens across the West to intensify boycotts of Israeli-linked corporations and institutions.
Switzerland: Thousands March Through Geneva
In Geneva, thousands of Swiss protesters rallied in the English Garden before marching through the city for several hours, waving Palestinian flags and chanting in English, French, and Arabic. Participants banged empty pots—a symbol of Gaza’s famine—and accused their government of complicity through continued cooperation with Israel.
Germany, Norway, and Chile Join Global Mobilization
In Berlin, hundreds carried placards reading “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” “Freedom for Palestine,” and “Your silence is killing them.” Demonstrators condemned the siege and called for urgent aid access.
Norwegians in Oslo also took to the streets, demanding an end to the war and immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza’s starving civilians.
In Chile, protesters organized a demonstration titled “Empty Pots,” echoing solidarity with Gaza’s hungry and denouncing Israel’s starvation policy.
UK: Mass Arrests at London Protest
In London, police arrested 365 people during a pro-Palestine demonstration supporting the banned “Palestine Action” group, outlawed by the UK government in July under anti-terrorism legislation. Protesters carried signs that read, “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”
The arrests, confirmed by the Metropolitan Police, are reportedly the highest in a single protest in the city’s history under charges of supporting a proscribed organization.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation—backed by the United States—has waged what legal experts and humanitarian groups widely describe as a genocide in Gaza.
As of August 2025, the toll stands at 61,369 Palestinians killed, 152,862 injured, and over 9,000 missing. The majority of the victims are children and women. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed countless more lives.
