The imposed siege on the Bahraini town of Diraz, west of the capital Manama to continue, as the Bahraini regime prevents holding of major Friday prayers in the town for the sixteenth week in a row.
Bahrainis, as they did in previous weeks, performed prayers individually in the Imam al-Sadiq Mosque, where major Friday prayers were usually taking place.
Bahrainis posted on their Twitter accounts photos of the siege imposed on the town, where a sit-in is organized in front of Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem’s house, to protest the authorities’ decision to strip him off citizenship.
After the prayers, Bahrainis came out in a mass demonstration to stress their rejection of official procedures and to express their solidarity with Ayatollah Qassem and opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman.
