French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stressed Thursday that de-escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran requires the restoration of the nuclear deal and the deactivation of sanctions.

In a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Ali Al-Hakimin Baghdad, the French top diplomat highlighted the importance of Iraq’s role in this regard.
