An Israeli report said that the US grants greenlight to every attack carried out by the Israeli enemy on Lebanon, refuting allegations that the Zionist entity is acting alone or that Washington opposes such violations.
Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, known as KAN, revealed on Friday that US officers inside the main headquarters of the Israeli army’s Northern Command in occupied Safed closely monitor the Israeli military operations in Lebanon.
“The US officers oversee attacks deep inside Lebanon, specifically against sites linked to Hezbollah,” according to KAN.
“Every attack in Lebanon is carried out with a US green light,” the Israeli broadcasting corporation added.
KAN’s military correspondent Itay Blumental reported on the coordination between Tel Aviv and Washington regarding Lebanon.
“While a fragile ceasefire in Gaza is holding, another story is playing out on the northern border,” Blumental said.
“As in Gaza, there is also a US mechanism in the north that oversees the implementation of the ceasefire. US officers are stationed at the Northern Command headquarters. Everything is being done according to US plans,”he added.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.
On Saturday, a Lebanese citizen was martyred in an Israeli drone strike on a car in the southern town of Harouf. Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s south and Bekaa killed seven other people on Thursday and Friday.
