The town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, witnessed violent clashes on Sunday evening between residents and Israeli occupation forces following an incursion. Soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas at the protesters.
Also on Sunday evening, occupation forces arrested a young man from the village of Aboud and closed the entrance to the town of Sinjil after conducting raids and house searches amid a heavy deployment of military vehicles. The continued siege on Sinjil forced residents to use alternative dirt roads to reach their homes. Additionally, forces erected military checkpoints near Turmusayya, north of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, stopping vehicles and checking passengers’ identities.
In southeastern Bethlehem, occupation forces assaulted several residents at the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu’. Tayseer Abu Mufarreh, the head of the Tuqu’ municipal council, reported that the forces stopped a vehicle, detained its occupants for a short period, and beat them before letting them go.
