Russian servicemen took part in large-scale counter-terrorism drills in the city of Ussuriysk in the country’s Far East, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry’s Eastern Military District said Thursday.
“According to the concept of the exercises, an armed group of up to 50 people attacked one of the storage bases of logistical support of the Eastern Military District with an aim to seize a depot with arms and ammunition,” Vladimir Matveev said.
According to Matveev, paratroopers also carried out a special operation to destroy the simulated attackers and release the simulated hostages.
