Dozens protested outside the US embassy in Amman on Tuesday ahead of a visit by Senior Donald Trump adviser Jared Kushner to Jordan in a bid to discuss the US president’s so-called ‘deal of century’.
Kushner’s Wednesday trip to Jordan is meant to bolster support for the US administration’s plan for Middle East peace which will be presented at the economic conference scheduled to take place in Bahrain next month. The workshop is being boycotted by the Palestinian Authority.
Dozens of protesters voiced rejection to the ‘deal of century’ and their country’s participation in the Manama conference. “Deal of Century Won’t Be Passed” and “Jordan Is Not for Sale” banners were held at the protest called by the Islamic Movement in Jordan, local media reported.
Kushner has arrived Tuesday in Morocco to seek King Mohammed VI’s backing for economic elements of the Trump administration’s plan.
Trump’s son-in-law will arrive in the Zionist entity on Thursday alongside U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt, Kushner’s deputy Avi Berkowitz and Iran Special Envoy Brian Hook the White House announced.
