Prominent Bahraini Shia cleric, Sheikh Issa Al-Qassem, stressed that Bahrain is an honorable Muslim Arab country that needs stability based on just relationship between its people and government.
On the eighth anniversary of February 14 revolution, Sheikh Qassem stressed in a statement that change in Bahrain is needed, noting that the government in the Gulf island has to deal respectfully with its people and recognize their rights.
“Troubles in Bahrain won’t end but in case this futile confrontation is over,” Sheikh Qassem said, stressing that the government in Bahrain has to recognize the people’s dignity and right to decide its fate.
The prominent cleric said the main problem in Bahrain is the lack of equity between the government and people regarding political, judicial, economic and social fields.
Sheikh Qassem meanwhile, slammed the Bahraini regime’s religious crackdown on Shias in Bahrain.
His eminence concluded his statement as addressing Bahraini people, saying they were on way to victory.
