Iranian President Hassan Rouhani threatened on Tuesday that no country in the Persian Gulf would be able to export oil, if the US blocked Iranian oil exports.
“The United States should know that we are selling oil and we will sell our oil and it cannot block Iran’s oil export,” he said on Tuesday addressing the people of Shahroud in Semnan province broadcast live on state TV.
“If it ever tries to do so… no oil will be exported from the Persian Gulf,” he added.
“The United States and the Israeli regime cannot stand the idea of a powerful and dignified Iran, and the Iranian nation will not bow to them,” Rouhani highlighted, adding, “the United States failed in launching a coup in our country. They were after separating Khuzestan province, imposing sanctions against the country, and undermining Iran’s power, but they failed. It should be studied why the US is angry with Iran and Iranians.”
President Rouhani described as unprecedented the Iranian nation’s victories against the US in the past 40 years, stressing that the Islamic Republic would develop its relations with neighboring and Islamic countries and the world despite US undermining measures.
“The United States said it would cut off Iran’s oil export and business relations, making Iran isolated, but it could not do so and it won’t be able to sever our relations with the regional countries,” Rouhani stressed.
“Our enemies are not able to defeat Iran. We will continue to strengthen our relations with the world despite the US wish. We will expand our trade with the world despite the US wish,” the Iranian president promised.
