The Russian Aerospace Forces continue providing air support to the Syrian Arab Army that is on offensive against the ISIL in east Syria, according to a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“On November 23, the Tu-22M3 long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a massed air strike on terrorists’ objects in near Abu Kamal, Deir Ezzor province, Syria.”
“The aircraft scrambled from the Russian Federation and covered 2,000 km. They targeted at strongholds near the settlement of al-Qut’ah.”
“As a result, the strike has eliminated strongholds, concentrations of manpower and hardware of militants.”
“Moreover, the Su-24 bombers from the Khmeimim air base have engaged standalone objects with pinpoint bombing.”
“The objective control system has confirmed all the targets to have been eliminated.”
“The Su-30SM and Su-35S scrambled from Khmeimim air base were covering the bombers.”
