Lebanese President Michel Aoun starts on Tuesday a series of meetings and consultations with Lebanese political figures in a bid to tackle the current situation in the country following Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s resignation.
Sources in Baabda presidential palace told Al-Manar late Monday that President Aoun will meet on Tuesday former presidents, prime ministers and heads of parliamentary blocs in an attempt to deal with repercussions of Hariri’s resignation.
Earlier on Monday, House Speaker Nabih Berri held talks with Aoun, voicing support to the president’s stance on Hariri’s controversial resignation.
