Head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Sheikh Ali Damoush, said that the Zionist enemy continues to target Lebanon almost daily, with American support and participation, and this is accompanied by attempts to besiege and isolate an entire popular environment with the aim of weakening the spirit of steadfastness and resilience among our people.
During a meeting with municipal councils elected for the term (2025-2031) at the Imam Al-Mujtaba Complex in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Sheikh Damoush pointed out that the war stopped on November 27, 2024, based on an agreement reached by the Lebanese government, which provided for the cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of the enemy from occupied points.
He added that Hezbollah agreed to this agreement and the resistance committed to its obligations, while “Israel” did not adhere to it from the first day, and its aggressive violations exceeded 5,000 breaches in front of the world’s eyes and with American cover and sponsorship.
Sheikh Damoush emphasized that despite the pains and suffering, this stage requires cooperation, patience, and wisdom, and the resistance has the wisdom, courage, and insight to take decisions that are appropriate to the circumstances we are going through.
Regarding the issue of reconstruction, Sheikh Damoush pointed out that Hezbollah is working on two tracks in this file: the first track is what Hezbollah itself provides in terms of compensation to the affected, and what it has provided so far and will provide in the future is part of its legitimate and moral responsibilities towards its people.
His eminence noted that Hezbollah has completed a large file that governments were unable to accomplish, and they have been able to repair nearly 370,000 housing units that have been returned to their owners, and to shelter thousands of families whose homes were destroyed.
Sheikh Damoush also emphasized that the municipalities have made great efforts and are working hard to restore the villages that were subjected to aggression to their normal life, and they will work together to revive these areas again, with God’s permission.
