Day 16 | Wednesday, October 08, 2024
Tuesday, October 8, 2024, marks the first anniversary of the launch of the Support Front from Lebanon in support of the oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of its brave and honorable resistance. In this context, the Islamic Resistance has released a visual publication that includes a summary of its most prominent operations during the 366 days of the war, and reviews the material and human losses suffered by the Israeli enemy, as well as the impact of the battle on the Israeli home front.
In the framework of responding to Israeli aggression and defending Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance carried out 16 military operations on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, most of which targeted settlements, sites, barracks, and gatherings of Israeli forces near the Lebanese-Palestinian border, using rockets and artillery shells.
In terms of ground operations, the mujahideen targeted a gathering of Israeli forces in the vicinity of the town of Maroun al-Ras with a rocket barrage. When an enemy force advanced towards the border area of Lubouneh, supported by bulldozers and vehicles, the mujahideen targeted them with artillery shells and rocket-propelled grenades, scoring direct hits.
Meanwhile, the rocket force in the resistance targeted settlements and cities in northern occupied Palestine, from the city of Haifa and its surroundings in the west to the Galilee Panhandle. The air force launched a drone attack on a gathering of Israeli forces in the settlement of Ya’ara in western Galilee.
In a speech, the then-Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, emphasized that “this war is a war of whoever screams first, and we will not scream, and we will continue.” He pointed out that Hezbollah has overcome the painful blows it suffered and is working with full readiness and regularity.
The Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance warned that the enemy’s continued targeting of Lebanese civilians will make Haifa like “Kiryat Shmona.” The Operations Room emphasized that what the enemy is witnessing from the mujahideen is just a taste of the fierce resistance that awaits him wherever he sets foot in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli enemy acknowledged that 30 soldiers were injured in clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, including serious injuries. The Hebrew Channel 14 reported that during Sheikh Qassem’s speech, Hezbollah launched about 100 rockets at the city of Haifa and its surroundings, hitting 15 settlers and causing damage to buildings and the electricity grid in three sites in Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin.
During this day, air raid sirens sounded 25 times in various areas of northern occupied Palestine, from the city of Haifa and its surroundings in the west to the vicinity of Tiberias in the east, and most of the settlements in the Galilee Panhandle.
