Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a widespread raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank in the pre-dawn hours of Friday, met with armed resistance in Jenin where Palestinian fighters targeted a military vehicle with an explosive device.

The large-scale military operation, which extended from Nablus to Ramallah and Tulkarem, resulted in the arrest of at least 22 Palestinians and left a pregnant woman and her father-in-law hospitalized after their home was set ablaze by Israeli grenades.
According to local sources, IOF military jeeps stormed numerous neighborhoods in Nablus, violently breaking into the Askar and Balata refugee camps, as well as the villages of Zawata and Kafr Qalil. The occupation forces conducted widespread home invasions, ransacking properties and terrorizing residents in their wake.

In the town of Beit Rima, north of Ramallah, a violent raid saw Israeli occupation forces hurl stun and tear gas grenades into a family home, causing a fire. A pregnant woman and her father-in-law suffered severe tear gas inhalation and were transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.
The incursions were not unopposed. The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that its fighters in the Jenin Battalion had successfully detonated a pre-planted explosive device beneath a heavily armored Israeli Namer vehicle during an IOF incursion into the town of Al-Yamoun, northwest of Jenin.
In a statement, the Brigades said their fighters were engaged in “fierce confrontations with the enemy’s forces on multiple fronts,” and were “targeting infantry units with heavy bursts of direct gunfire, responding according to the demands of the battlefield.”
These raids are part of a dramatic intensification of Israeli occupation military operations in the West Bank, conducted in parallel with the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. The violence has surged to extreme levels since October 2023.
According to official Palestinian statistics, over 1,040 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 9,000 injured in the West Bank during this period as a result of IOF operations and escalating settler assaults, painting a grim picture of daily life under occupation.
