At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City since the early hours of Sunday morning, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.
WAFA correspondents confirmed that four civilians were killed and others injured when Israeli warplanes targeted an apartment in a residential building belonging to the Al-Haddad family, near Al-Shaabiya Junction in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City.
Medical sources further reported that the overall death toll from multiple airstrikes on various neighborhoods in Gaza City since midnight has risen to nine. The number is expected to increase as rescue teams have been unable to retrieve those still missing under the rubble following strikes on the homes of the Dugmosh, Al-Haddad, and Mohsen families in the Al-Sabra neighborhood.
In parallel with the airstrikes, Israeli artillery shelling has continued, and reports indicate that an explosive-laden armored vehicle was detonated in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim corridor in the central Gaza Strip. Continuous gunfire has also been reported in the vicinity of Wadi Gaza Bridge.
Since ‘Israel’ launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, over 65,200 Palestinians—the majority of them children and women—have been killed, with more than 166,200 injured, according to local health authorities. Thousands are also feared missing under the rubble.
Israel’s genocidal onslaught continues unabated despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and address the deteriorated humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Meanwhile, a missile fire from Gaza at Nitsan near Ashdod was reported. 8 of the Zionist occupation soldiers were injured in a vehicle overturn accident near Gaza City.
