Hezbollah will mark the first martyrdom anniversary of martyred Secretary Generals Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine next week.
Hezbollah’s Media Relations Department announced in a statement the ceremony on Saturday, saying the event will take place at 14:30 (Beirut time) on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
The ceremony is “in honor and commemoration of the master of the nation’s martyrs Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, the Hashemite martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine and their martyred companions,” the statement read.
The ceremony will be held simultaneously in the shrines where Hezbollah Secretary Generals, Sayyed Nasrallah, Sayyed Safieddine and Sayyed Abbas Al-Moussawi are buried in Beirut, Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr and Nabi Sheet.
Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Safieddine were martyred during the brutal 66-day Israeli war on Lebanon Last year, while Sayyed Al-Moussawi was martyred by Israeli strike in February 1992.
Current Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem is to address the ceremony.
Hezbollah has announced earlier this week a series of events to mark the occasion between September 25 and October.
