Protesters attacked US Ambassador to the United Nations Morgan Ortagus after she left a Security Council session in which she had vetoed a draft resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
As she was leaving the session, protesters shouted at Ortagus: “Are you proud of what you have done? Shame on you, shame on you, shame on you.”
The United States blocked the draft resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, enhancement of the delivery of aid, and the release of all remaining Israeli prisoners.
The resolution, drafted by the Council’s ten non-permanent members, called for “an immediate, unconditional, and lasting ceasefire in Gaza” and reiterated calls for the immediate release of all prisoners.
On the 714th day of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army continued its air and artillery bombardment of Gaza City neighborhoods over the past few hours.
