Israeli media have reported that the UAV targeted by Iran was a Kochav [star] drone. Manufactured by the Zionist entity’s Elbit Systems, Hermes 900 Kochav is a long-endurance UAV designed for tactical missions such as reconnaissance and surveillance.
This comes in the context of Iran’s ongoing confrontation with the ongoing Israeli aggression on its territory since June 13, which began with attacks targeting internal facilities and leadership. Tehran is responding to this aggression within Operation “True Promise 3” by targeting Israeli military and strategic sites.

The city of Ray, south of Tehran, also witnessed an armed clash between Iranian security forces and a group suspected of links to Israeli intelligence, according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency.
The agency reported that the suspected cell was planning to carry out terrorist operations in densely populated areas within the capital, before it was uncovered and its plot was completely thwarted.
The Iranian Labor News Agency quoted Iranian police spokesman Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi as saying that “security forces seized 14 drones and identified workshops used by hostile groups to produce drones, in addition to vehicles transporting these drones in several Iranian provinces.”
In the northwest of the country, the Ansar al-Mahdi Corps, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, announced the thwarting of an Israeli attack attempt on the Zeinoddin camp located in the Abhar area of Zanjan Province. The statement did not specify the nature of the attack, but confirmed that Iranian forces confronted it and prevented it from achieving its objectives.
They also seized a workshop manufacturing drones and spare parts for them, and uncovered dozens of individuals accused of “inciting sedition and destabilizing public opinion” in the interests of the enemy.
