Lebanese Public Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nasereddine condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks and violations of Lebanese sovereignty, considering that the repeated attacks targeting Lebanese territory, infrastructure, and residential areas constitute a flagrant violation of all international conventions and a direct threat to the security of citizens.
In an interview with Al-Manar Website, Nasereddine called on the parties sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to assume their responsibilities and play their role in curbing the Israeli aggression, stressing that the situation can no longer accept further international disregard or silence, especially in light of the escalating pace of attacks.
The Health Minister called on the international community to take urgent and effective action to halt the policy of aggression and systematic violations practiced by ‘Israel’ against Lebanon,” demanding that “the occupation cease its grip on Lebanese territory and halt the series of deliberate provocations that threaten regional stability.”
Israeli warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes targeting forested hills and elevated areas in Kfar Tibnit and Nabatieh Al-Fawka in southern Lebanon, according to local media reports. The strikes extended to several villages across the Nabatieh district.
