Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the fourth round of indirect negotiations with the United States has been postponed due to logistical and technical reasons.

Commenting on the timeline of the talks, Araghchi stated, “There is no specific deadline, but we are not interested in endless, time-wasting negotiations. We sense the other side shares the same motivation.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei confirmed that the upcoming round of indirect talks, initially scheduled for Saturday in Rome, has been postponed. The delay, he noted, was proposed by Oman’s foreign minister, with a new date to be announced later.
A senior Iranian official told Reuters that the change in schedule was also influenced by US behavior, stressing that Washington’s ongoing sanctions against Tehran “do not contribute to the diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the nuclear issue.”
The third round of talks between Iran and the United States concluded last Saturday in Oman. According to Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi, both sides had agreed to continue negotiations in early May.
