In an exclusive interview at the gravesite of Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah with Al-Manar, lifetime activist for Palestine Charlotte Kates speaks on her long-lasting relationship with the Palestinian cause.
The activists, who is the coordinator of Samidoun, the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network (PPSN), reflects on the roots of her burgeoning involvement with it as a young student studying in the US while recounting fond memories of waiting alongside her comrades for the transcripts of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah’s speeches.
Al-Manar’s Hussein Moghniyeh speaks with Mrs. Kates about her knowledge of Sayyed Hasan and his influence on the struggle against Zionism while dipping into many of the reasons she began her journey of activism for disenfranchised Palestinians along with the people and stories that keep her going.

Mrs. Kates opens with her first impressions of Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and talks at length about her and her comrades’ admiration for his strategic insight and worldly influence on the fight for truth in the face of Zionist falsehood.
She gets personal with her story of her journey’s beginnings and speaks from the heart on the evils of imperialism and how that shaped her worldview as a young woman studying in the USA.
