The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have intensified their devastating assault on the Gaza Strip, committing further atrocities against the civilian population. In a series of airstrikes and bombardments over the weekend, the IOF targeted the tents of displaced residents in the cities of Deir al-Balah and Rafah, resulting in injuries.
The attacks began on Saturday at dawn, when the IOF bombed a tent housing displaced people along the street of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Injuries were also reported following an IOF attack on the Ghoul family’s house in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Simultaneously, IOF aircraft targeted the western part of the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

The IOF’s aggression extended to the northern Gaza Strip, where they carried out bombing and detonation operations in Beit Hanoun. In the southern Gaza Strip, an IOF attack on a house in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis resulted in the death of a child and the injury of 10 individuals, with three others reported missing.

The IOF also opened fire towards the tents of displaced people in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah city, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.
Alongside these attacks on civilian targets, the IOF have intensified their assault on Gaza’s medical sector. On Friday, the IOF issued a threat to those present at the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, demanding their immediate evacuation. This came after the forces had already destroyed the hospital’s oxygen and electricity stations and continued to bulldoze the surrounding area, systematically dismantling essential infrastructure.

Additionally, heavy and intense Israeli artillery shelling targeted the area surrounding al-Awda Hospital in Tel al-Zaatar, located in the northern Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in a population decline of approximately 6%. This devastating war has led to the martyrdom of around 45,581 Palestinians and left 108,438 others injured, according to initial figures.
