Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, particularly “Asaib Ahl al-Haq” movement, urged the authorities to exclude the US military role from ongoing operations aimed at liberating Mosul from ISIL terrorists.
The movement’s military spokesman Jawad Talibawy said in a statement that the excessive force used by the US army is a criminal act, adding that Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi has to hold the responsibility of excluding the American role from Mosul liberation “to keep the operation clean”.
The Iraqi Defense Minister Arfan Al-Hayali on Saturday ordered an immediate investigation into the US aerial raids which claimed 263 people in Western Mosul.
