Five Palestinians were martyred on Saturday as Israeli occupation staged a drone strike on vehicle on the Zeita-Attil Road, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm.
WAFA news agency quoted the Director of the Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarm, Amin Khader, as saying that the bodies of five people arrived at the hospital.
He said that the bodies were burned and charred beyond recognition, except for one who was identified as Haytham Nouriddin Bleidi, 25, from the Tulkarm refugee camp.
Israeli media reported that the vehicle was targeted with two missiles.
Following the airstrike, the occupation forces stormed and cordoned off the scene of the attack, preventing residents from approaching. Nevertheless, medics and residents managed to pull and transfer the bodies to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Palestinian factions declared a one-day public strike and a day of mourning for the victims.
Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces raided several areas across the occupied territory including Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem, and a refugee camp in Ramallah. A number of arrests were made as the occupation forces staged the raids.
