The city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip is under intense Israeli bombardment, leading to a new wave of displacement as residents flee from the Israeli aggression.

At least 60 people have been killed and 110 others injured in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of martyrs to 34,904 since October 7th. International organizations estimate that 80,000 Palestinians have been displaced from eastern Rafah to other areas as the Israeli army intensifies its ground operation.

Despite ongoing talks in Cairo for a ceasefire, the Israeli aggression continues, with the occupation determined to pursue its plans in Rafah.

Despite being subjected to systematic targeting by the occupation, Civil Defense personnel continue to risk their lives under bombardment by digging through the rubble to reach the victims of the Israeli killing machine buried under the rubble.

The occupation destroyed more than 70% of the civil defense capabilities by targeting its vehicles and equipment in various areas of the Gaza Strip, while 68 were martyred and more than 200 of its members were injured as a result of the Israeli bombing.

Due to the great destruction that befell the Gaza Strip, the Civil Defense in Gaza faces great challenges, the first of which is the lack of equipment necessary to remove the rubble and retrieve the martyrs and wounded from underneath it, while today they rely on primitive tools that do not meet the enormous needs in this area.
