Hezbollah’s media relations issued the following statement:
The British newspaper “The Times” published an article by Anthony Lloyd claiming to have conducted an interview with a “veteran military commander in Hezbollah.”
This article, which covers a series of political and military viewpoints and declarations by the aforementioned commander, has been published by The Sunday Times and several Western and Arab media outlets and websites.
Accordingly, Hezbollah’s media relations affirm that the alleged interview is nothing but a spurious fabrication of the writer’s imagination and erroneous assertions. It firmly denies that journalist Lloyd conducted an interview with one of Hezbollah’s officials, and it denies what was stated in it and falsely attributed to him.
Finally, Hezbollah’s media relations resent the hazardous professional and ethical decline into which this newspaper and a large number of Western media outlets have slipped, falling far short of what they claimed of professionalism, objectivity, accuracy, and impartiality, claims that were entirely abandoned during coverage of the Zionist aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
