Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted extensive raids and arrests in the occupied West Bank, prompting clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters. The incursions targeted several cities and towns, including the Shuafat camp in northern occupied al-Quds, where the IOF employed military-grade helicopters for their operation.
Other areas raided by Israeli forces included Nilin, a Palestinian town northwest of Ramallah, and Khirbat al-Nabi Elias to the east of Qalqilya in the western part of the occupied West Bank. Nablus, located in the northern and eastern regions of the West Bank, experienced significant gunfire during the IOF’s infiltration.
The arrest campaigns and raids have become a daily occurrence since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood commenced on October 7. As of November 1, there have been over 1,850 detainments in the West Bank and occupied 1948 territories, though the exact number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails remains uncertain due to restrictive measures and mistreatment at the hands of the occupation forces.
Prior to the recent aggression on Gaza, there were already more than 5,200 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, enduring inhumane treatment and practices.
In addition to this, thousands of legal Palestinian workers from Gaza were also arrested, with only a few thousand being released after 25 days in secretive conditions. The released workers reported physical assault, verbal abuse, and exposure to degrading treatment during their detention.
These acts of aggression against Palestinian workers and citizens in the West Bank coincide with the ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported a rising death toll, with 9,770 martyrs, including 4,800 children and 2,550 women. In the past 24 hours alone, 24 massacres committed by the IOF resulted in 243 martyrs. The Gaza Strip has suffered extensive damage, with approximately 50% of residential units destroyed or damaged.
