Palestinian teen on Monday succumbed to wounds sustained by Israeli fire as occupation forces launched a wide arrest campaign against Palestinians across the West Bank, a day after killing three Palestinians in Jenin.
Ramzi Hamed, 17, embraced martyrdom on Monday after he was critically injured by Israeli gunfire several days ago in the town of Silwad, near Ramallah, Palestinian Health Ministry announced.

Hamed’s martyrdom takes the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire since the start of 2023 to 221.
The IOF arrested at least 12 Palestinians in several areas across the West Bank, with the most prominent raids being reported in Jenin and the town of Burqa, east of Ramallah.
Burqa
In Burqa, the occupation forces raided a home and arrested five Palestinians of the same family, including two minors, local media reported.
The five were a father and his four sons, Israeli media reported, adding that they were detained “over involvement in a confrontation” which took place in the town earlier on Friday (August 4) and killed Palestinian teen Qusai Jamal Maatan.
Maatan, 19, was shot dead by a group of terrorist Israeli settlers in cold blood as they stormed his hometown village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, on August 4.
Commenting on the settlers’ attack, Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said that “violence by settlers in the West Bank against Palestinians was spurring more Palestinians to carry out acts of terror.”
“Let there be no doubt, these things spur the civilian [Palestinian] population to terror. The nationalist crime and nationalist terror… push civilians in the Palestinian Authority who are not involved in terror — to terror,” he said on Monday, speaking with the Ynet news site during a live broadcast.
Jenin Raid
Meanwhile on Monday, more than 20 Israeli vehicles broke into Jenin city at dawn, Palestinian media reported, adding that occupation forces laid siege upon several houses in the city.
Jenin Battalion of Islamic Jihad resistance movement announced that its fighters confronted the Israeli raid and were engaged in clashes with occupation forces.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli occupation forces assassinated three Palestinian resistance fighters after opening fire at their car in Arraba town near Jenin.
