Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed on Thursday that the sanctions are ineffective against the firm will of the Iranian nation.
During an inauguration ceremony of transferring water from the Persian Gulf to Yazd Province, the Iranian president said the enemy’s attempts to exert maximum pressure on Iran have not succeeded, thanks to the nation’s steely wills.
He added that the Iranian government is determined to carry out big projects and settle the country problem by relying on God and trusting the Iranian manpower and reserves and capacities, IRNA news agency reported.
Raisi’s visit to southeastern Yazd province will last until tomorrow, according to a statement by the Iranian President’s office.
One of the most important events on this trip is the start of the operation of the second water transfer line from the Persian Gulf to Yazd province, which will be carried out in a three-year period with the capacity of an annual transfer of 200 million cubic meters of water to dry province.
Also, during the trip, some other projects, including housing projects, will be inaugurated in the historical province.
