Nablus-based Lions’ Den Palestinian group affirmed it was going ahead with resistance acts against Israeli occupation “till the last fighter.”
In a resounding statement late Friday, the newly emerged group in Nablus refuted claims that its resistance has faded after the assassination of its commander by the Israeli occupation.
“Mistaken is who thinks that he has information about Lions’ Den. O’ our dear people we tell you that our fighters have been divided into three groups: martyrs, injured and soldiers.”
“Our mighty people, by God the resistance will persist till the last fighter. Cowards shall never survive, just as guns… Rifles shall never remain if they are not used in (military) engagements against the enemy.”
The group also saluted all resistance fighters across West Bank, addressing the residents of the besieged Nablus city by saying: O’ our people, if you are suffering, they too are suffering. They are besieged in their settlements,” referring to Israeli occupation.
“Be patient and stand firm for the resistance is planning what will quench your thirst,” the statement concluded.
Lions’ Den is an armed group has emerged out of Nablus in the past few months.
The group has appeared to be changing the face of Palestinian resistance, as it gained fame for attacks against Israeli checkpoints, soldiers and settlements.
Israeli occupation has attempted to crush the group, as well as others, in an operation code-named “Break the Wave”, leading to near-daily raids and dozens of Palestinians martyred.
But so far, Lions’ Den has remained active, with few signs that the occupied Palestinian territory will be pacified any time soon.
In a speech on Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah saluted Palestinian fighters in the West Bank, stressing that the Palestinian resistance is setting new equations that will lead to the full liberation of Palestine.
Just like their leader, Hezbollah fighters, then on Friday, performed military salute to their Palestinian comrades-in-arms. In a video posted by the Lebanese resistance’s Military Media Department, Hezbollah fighters appeared saluting the Palestinian resistance fighters with a Palestinian flag being raised near them.
