Dozens of Palestinians were injured as Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked worshipers barricaded there for the fifth consecutive day.
A large number of Israeli occupation police stormed Al-Aqsa on Thursday morning, attacking Palestinian worshipers barricaded in the compounds courtyards and Al-Qibali Mosque.
At least 8 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli rubber bullets, Palestinian sources reported.
Clashes erupted as occupation policemen deployed in Al-Aqsa compound and barred Palestinian worshipers from residing in the courtyards, Al-Qibali Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, in a bid to let Zionist settlers enter the holy compound for the Passover.
IOF laid siege on Al-Qibali Mosque and fired rubber bullets and tear gas towards Palestinians barricaded there.
Dozens of other Palestinians suffocated as occupation forces fired tear gas and pepper spray towards the worshipers in Al-Qibali Mosque.
The occupation police then secured the entrance of hundreds of Zionist settlers to Al-Aqsa compound via Damascus Gate.
Earlier on Wednesday night, more than 1,000 Zionist settlers broke into Al-Aqsa through Damascus Gate and performed provocative tours and prayers at the holy compound.
