Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque for the fourth consecutive day.
Occupation police attacked Palestinian worshipers barricaded at Al-Aqsa, forcing them to evacuate the compound’s courtyards, Palestinian sources reported.
IOF prevented Palestinians from residing at Al-Qibali Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, securing the entrance of Zionist settlers to the compound in order to perform Jewish prayers at Al-Buraq Wall (Western Wall).
Occupation authorities also hindered the access of Palestinians to Al-Aqsa Mosque, setting checkpoints in Al-Quds Old City and across the roads leading to the holy compound.
More than 600 Zionist settlers, backed by IOF, broke into Al-Aqsa to mark the Passover, a Jewish holiday, the sources added.
Tensions have been high in Al-Aqsa in the past days, with Israeli occupation forces brutally attacking Palestinian worshipers and securing the storming of Zionist setters to the holy compound on the Passover.
Last Friday, at least 150 Palestinians were injured and 450 others were arrested as occupation police attacked Palestinians who massing at Al-Aqsa for Friday prayers amid warnings that Zionist settlers were planning to hold the animal sacrifice.
