Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday and attack Palestinian worshipers barricaded there for the fourth consecutive day, paving the way for Zionist settlers to enter the holy compound and perform provocative prayers during the Jewish Passover.
Palestinian sources said the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa and forced Palestinian worshipers to evacuate the compound courtyards.
At least 600 Zionist settlers then broke into Al-Aqsa gradually, witnesses said and videos showed.
IOF also got into the roofs of mosques in Al-Aqsa and the surrounding building to secure the entrance of the Zionist settlers, the sources added.
Videos circulated on social media also showed occupation police provocatively attacking Palestinian females in Al-Aqsa.
The attack on Monday is the fourth since Friday, with occupation forces brutally attacking and arresting Palestinians who hurried to defend Al-Aqsa amid calls by Zionist settlers to hold the so-called animal sacrifice at the holy compound.
On Sunday, at least 17 Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire, and other 18 were arrested. Earlier on Friday, the Israeli occupation police injured at least 150 Palestinians and arrested at least 450 others.
