The Lebanese parliament held on Tuesday a legislative session to study 36 bills included in the session’s agenda, endorsing a number of draft laws.
In this regard, the deputies approved the ration card law which stipulates granting a US-dollar financial aid to the needy families.
During the session, House Speaker Nabih Berri underlined that the largest waste of public money is taking place in the electricity sector.
“The sector in which the largest waste (of public money) is happening is the electricity,” Speaker Berri added, “With the (wasted) sum, power plants could have been built.”
