The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami said that the US is used to defeats at the hands of the Iranian nation, but it has yet to learn the lesson well.
Attending a ceremony of the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance on Thursday, Maj. Gen. Salami praised the Iranian nation over foiling US schemes in the region.
The Iranian commander referred to the occasion by saying that the US which was the greatest empire in history was defeated during the takeover of the former US Embassy in Iran in 1979.
Salami pointed to the US hegemonic moves to wage wars in the world, saying that more than 40 major wars in 40 parts of the world are the outcome of Americans’ politics in the world.
“US is the world’s dictator-making factory, it has stolen the Islamic countries’ wealth and changed their cultural identity.”
Salami hailed the Iranian nation for thwarting US plots in the region, noting that US’ policy of sanctions and psychological warfare against the Iranian people have failed.
As the United States dreamed of dominating the Islamic world and the entire world, the Islamic Revolution of Iran prevented the Americans’ dream to come true, the Iranian commander added.
“Today we no longer see the United States in the center of regional politics, the American allies in the region have lost their trust in the policy of that country,” Salami said.
“The Americans can no longer support the Zionist regime. Enemies’ power diminishing as the era of their collapse has started,” the IRGC chief commander said, adding that Americans have come to a dead end in the region and cannot make up their mind whether to stay or leave the region.
Meanwhile, he stressed that the Axis of Resistance has been building up its capabilities, noting that this alliance “has turned into a nightmare to the enemies.”
