Spokesman of Beirut Port blast victims’ families, Ibrahim Hoteit, called on the judicial investigator, Tarek Al-Bitar, to recuse himself over the latter’s blatant politicization of the case.

Hoteit added that Bitar’s politicization of the Beirut blast port led to the bloodshed witnessed in Tayouneh area, denouncing the US intervention in the investigations.

Hoteit also rejected any attempt to internationalize the probe, recalling the conspiracy of the international tribunal.

Seven martyrs and around 30 injured were reported during the armed attack carried out by the “Lebanese Forces” gunmen on the peaceful protestors in Tayouneh area. The protesters were demonstrating against the politicized decisions of the judicial investigator into Beirut blast, Tarek Al-Bitar.
