Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stressed to Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian that the relations with Tehran are important for Amman.
Amir Abdollahian Safadi held a phone talk on Monday evening, during which the top Iranian diplomat called for taking advantage of the economic and trade opportunities of the region in order to improve relations between the two countries.
The Iranian FM announced Iran’s “support for regional dialogues and cooperation without any foreign interference,” Iranian media report.
He emphasized that the expansion of cooperation between the countries of the region, especially Iran, Iraq, Syria and Jordan, is a precondition for further economic prosperity and stabilization in the region.
Amir Abdollahian stressed the need for all Islamic countries to take responsibility in defending Palestine and Holy Al-Quds and to take joint measures in the international level to help Palestine.
Jordanian Foreign Minister, for his part, called the relations with Tehran important and respected for Amman.
