Syrian army suspended on Friday an operation to evacuate militants from east Aleppo, Al-Manar correspondent in the embattled city reported.
Our correspondent said the militants violated the evacuation deal by shelling skailabiya crossing, in the northwestern countryside of Hama, noting that it was planned that the buses heading to evacuate besieged resident of Foua and Kefraya pass through this crossing.
The militants also took a number of captives with them, something which was not agreed upon according to the evacuation deal, Al-Manar correspondent reported. He said that the terrorists prevented some injured and civilians from leaving the besieged towns of Foua and Kkefraya in Idlib countryside.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Friday that more than 6,400 people, including over 3,000 militants, have been transferred out of Aleppo as part of a ceasefire deal brokered by Russia and Turkey.
