Lebanese Islamic Resistance of Hezbollah denied as untrue on Friday the news circulated by certain media outlets about an alleged promise made by the party to Russia.

Some media outlets and websites reported – citing the enemy [Israeli] media – that an alleged pledge has been made by Hezbollah to Russia not to respond to Israeli raids that affect targets inside Syria,” a statement by Hezbollah Media Relations said.

“What is stated in this article is not true and completely different to reality,” it read.

Hezbollah and Russia are main allies of the Syrian army in its war on terrorism.
