Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday and on the beginning of Ten-day Dawn paid tribute to Imam Khomeini at the mausoleum and then visited martyrs tomb in Behesht Zahra cemetery.
The Supreme Leader also paid tribute to Iranian martyrs who have lost their lives since the Islamic Revolution and prayed to Almighty God for further exaltation of his status in the Hereafter.
Ten-day Dawn in Iran marks the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
During the past years, the Iranian people used to hold massive rallies to celebrate the anniversary; however, the pandemic considerations imposed a different approach this year.
