Zeinab, daughter of commander of IRGC’s Quds Force General Qassem Suleimani described her father as the “conqueror of hearts” and a highly charismatic and smart commander.
In an exclusive interview with Beirut-based Arab network, Al-Mayadeen, on Tuesday, Zeinab Suleimani said what distinguished her father was that he was a “clever and strong military field commander with very strong charisma.”
“He had a remarkably compassionate and affectionate heart. My father used to capture the hearts of people, especially those who worked with them and those close to him” she told Al-Mayadeen.
Suleimani said her father’s presence in the battlefield alongside other military forces was the result of his “belief in the necessity of standing by the oppressed people.”
“He did not differentiate between Lebanese, Syrian, Iranian, Palestinian or Yemeni people. Any aggression against people, their money and their honor was a red line for him,” she said.
Zeinab Suleimani stressed that Palestine was very important to the martyr. “He used all his capabilities to serve the Palestinian cause, and the result is that we see today the strength of the Palestinian resistance movement.”
Referring to the close relation with Hezbollah top military commander Imad Mughniyeh, Zeinab Suleimani said her father was so saddened by Mughniyeh’s martyrdom.
“When Hajj Imad Mughniyeh was martyred (in 2008), we could talk to my father for several days. My mother told us that our dad was not fine and that he was spiritually harmed.”
She praised Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, saying: “unlike other Arab leaders, he cares for his people. He stood firm and defended his country.”
“My father described President Assad as a brave man who loves and cares for his people.”
