July 12, 2006 is an unforgettable date in memories of the Lebanese and Zionists. 33 days were a bitter memory in the diary of the Lebanese people, but were crowned by an unprecedented victory against the Israeli enemy as the resistance was able to draw a new equation of deterrence in the region and defeat the so-called invincible Israeli army.
The 33 photos and caption we have chosen for our readers will maybe allow them to visualize the scene a bit, while tremendous stories remain untold on the hardships and steadfastness of the Lebanese people as the Israeli enemy carried on all-inclusive merciless war and mass murder against civilians across the country.
The first day of the July war was July 12, in which the Islamic Resistance attacked a Zionist military force in the morning in “Khallet Wardah” in the southern outskirts of Aita al-Shaab, killing three soldiers and capturing two soldiers, and fought fierce confrontations with the occupation forces that tried to withdraw their dead soldiers.

Israeli warplanes bombed Beirut Airport
14 July day 3
Hezbollah launched anti-ship missiles onto the Israeli Sa’ar corvette which was striking the Lebanese capital, killing civilians and destroying their houses.
15 July day 4
‘Israel’ attacked 23 civilians as they were trying to flee Marwahin village in a pick-up. Children were mainly killed in the attack.
16 July day 5
The resistance forces targeted a train station in Haifa with dozens of Israelis either killed or injured.
17 July day 6
The enemy continued to target civilians, and the resistance responded with the escalating bombardment of Haifa.
18 July day 7
The Resistance struck the city of Haifa with Raad (2) and Raad (3) missiles.
19 July day 8
Israeli fighters leveled more than 10 homes to the ground, destroying them above the heads of their residents in the town of Srifa.
20 July day 9
“Even if the whole world comes(to urge), they will not be able to return the two Israeli soldiers unless we have indirect negotiations,” Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said back then.
21 July day 10
The Islamic Resistance confronted hostile Israeli forces that attempted to invade the town of Maroun al-Ras.
22 July day 11
The Islamic Resistance destroyed three Israeli armored vehicles in fierce confrontations in Maroun al-Ras.
23 July day 12
Israeli raids continued excessively on the southern suburb of Beirut.
24 July day 13
Four Merkava tanks were destroyed and an Israeli Apache helicopter was shot down.
25 July day 14
Confrontations, steadfastness, and valor were displayed by the resistance in the city of Bint Jbeil.
26 July day 15
Hezbollah destroyed a number of Merkava tanks and killed and wounded dozens of occupation soldiers.
27 July day 16
‘Israel’ continued its aggression, and its raids continued on the villages of the south.
28 July day 17
Sayyed Nasrallah in a resounding speech that day: We’ve reached a critical stage, striking targets beyond Haifa.
29 July day 18
Israeli aggression against Lebanon continued for the third week, the resistance is at the battle fronts in confrontations with the enemy.

1 August Day 20
Military and political leadership of the enemy seemed distressed, Olmert ordered halting aerial raids for 48 hours upon demand by the Americans.
2 August day21
The Islamic resistance hit an Israeli military ship ‘Saer’, causing injuries and deaths among 53 Israeli soldiers and generals across the shore of Tyr city.
3 August Day 22
Fierce confrontations continued between Israeli elite forces of the Golani battalion and the Islamic resistance fighters in Aita-Shaab, al-Kuzah and Ramia axis.
4 August Day 23
Israeli fighter jets and helicopters carried out two landing ops on the vicinity of Dar al-Hikma hospital in Baalbeck city where 18 civilians were martyred.
5 August Day 24
The Islamic resistance confronted Israeli attempts to advance towards Aita-Shaab, Shihin and Jibin, destroying 6 Mirkava tanks and killed four Israeli soldiers.
6 August day 25
Israeli committed the heinous massacre in the Qa’a town at the Syrian borders in which 34 people were martyred.
7 August Day 26
The Islamic resistance fired missiles that reached Haifa and nearby Al-Nasira towns.
8 August Day 27
Israeli Fighter jets committed a massacre in Chiyah area in Beirut’s Southern suburbs, where 56 civilians were killed.
9 August Day 28
Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre against the people of Ghaziyeh town.
10 August Day 29
Enemy sources acknowledged that 15 of its soldiers were killed while 38 were injured in the battles of Aita-Shaab, Debel and Taybeh.
11 August Day 30
The resistance recorded new victories, destroying 15 Mirkava tanks and killing 18 Israeli soldiers and generals at the different battlefield frontlines in the South.
12 August Day 31
Israel exhausted its efforts in an attempt to target the highest possible number of Lebanese towns and villages.
