The Saudi-led coalition acknowledged on Saturday its responsibility for the air raids which targeted a funeral hall in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa and claimed scores of hundreds of martyrs and wounded.
The coalition alleged that one of its warplanes had “wrongly targeted” the funeral.
“Because of non-compliance with coalition rules of engagement and procedures, and the issuing of incorrect information, a coalition aircraft wrongly targeted the location, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries,” the coalition claimed.
In a different context, the Yemeni army and popular committees destroyed two Saudi armored vehicles in Boqa’a exit, according to Yemeni sources.
Yemen has been since March 26, 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition.
Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive ex-president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
