Two Mi-8 military helicopters hovering over the Moscow’s Red Square on Thursday sparked bewilderment among the locals.
The choppers were seen leaving the area of the Kremlin and flying across the city, which is normally a no-fly zone. One of the aircraft seemed to be carrying four armed men dressed in military gear. They were being transported in a net suspended from the helicopter.
The Federal Protective Service (FSO), responsible for guarding the top officials, commented on the mysterious flights, saying that it was a part of an exercise.
