On the sidelines of the Arab Summit in Mauritania, Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam met with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah over bilateral ties and developments in the region.
It is worth noting that Premier Salam will give a word in this regard today between 16:00 and 17:00.
Salam, accompanied by Minister of Social Affairs Rachid Derbas, had arrived in Nouakchott international airport in Mauritania to take part in the 27th Ordinary Session of the Summit of the Arab League, reported Monday NNA correspondent.
Mauritanian Prime Minister Yahya Ould Hademine welcomed him at the airport. Salam is scheduled to deliver Lebanon’s speech at the first public meeting between 4:30 p.m. ET 5:00 p.m. (local time).
Participants will discuss the issue of terrorism, Arab relations as well as regional conflicts.
The Arab summit will be held under the theme of “Hope”. Among the issues to be addressed: the Palestinian cause, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the plateau of the occupied Syrian Golan, developments in Jerusalem, colonization and the Intifada, refugees and UNRWA, support for the Palestinian struggle the Syrian crisis, security in the Arab world and the improvement of the Arab League.
