“Syria won’t be defeated, our people won’t be broken,” Syrian Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Tourjman told Al-Manar Website.
As he was overlooking preparations for Damascus International Fair, the minister stressed on the important role of media in covering the Syrian conflict.
In this context, Tourjman said that the axis of resistance has won “the battle of words,” noting that all facts on the conflict in Syrian have been uncovered and the international media has no choice but to reflect this reality.
Despite that dissociation policy adopted by Lebanon is “not realistic,” the upcoming visit by Lebanese ministers to Syria is an internal issue, Tourjman told Al-Manar correspondent in Damascus, Khalil Moussa.
The Syrian minister pointed out to regional pressure on Lebanon concerning policy towards Syria. However, he said that Damascus welcomes any Lebanese politician who like to visit Syria.
“Syria and Lebanon have mutual history and mutual fate. The Lebanese have sacrificed themselves for Syria.”
Tourjman said 22 states are to attend Damascus International Fair, noting that 1600 firms will indirectly take part in the event.
“The Syrian people have suffered a lot because of the mean interference by several states, whose plot was aimed at targeting Syria, its role and its position in the region as the heart of resistance,” Tourjman said, stressing that this scheme has been foiled.
