Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian near Chain Gate in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem on Saturday after he carried out a stabbing attack on an Israeli police officer.

According to Israeli police spokesperson, Israeli occupation forces had “neutralized” the attacker and “immediately pronounced him dead on the spot.”

According to Ma’an documentation, the Palestinian was the 22nd to have been killed by Israelis since the beginning of the year. Seven Israelis have been killed by Palestinians during the same time period.
