Head of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad stressed that any concession to the Israeli enemy won’t stop the attacks, and rather it will lead for more concessions.
During a local ceremony on Saturday, MP Raad said the Islamic Resistance and its people endure hardships patiently in order to preserve dignity and national sovereignty.
“Out of concern for the national sovereignty, we offer sacrifices,” he stated, stressing that despite the sacrifices, the resistance firmly sticks to its choices and there is no room for surrender.
“Any concession to the enemy, any show of so-called understanding, or any attempt to justify their flimsy pretexts for aggression won’t stop the Israeli blackmail, but will only encourage it to stage more attacks until it seizes our entire homeland,” the senior Hezbollah lawmaker warned.
In this context, MP Raad noted that the cost of steadfastness in face of the Israeli attacks is much less than the cost in case of surrender.
“Unfortunately, we hear some local voices which encourage surrender to the enemy, under the illusion that they are preserving their interests and strengthening their positions within the state.”
He stated that the campaign against the electoral law “is aimed at undermining the representation of the resistance and its supporters within the parliament, in a bid to control the administration of the country and to achieve their factional interests, as they imagine.”
Meanwhile, MP Raad said that following acknowledgment by President Donald Trump that the US is complicit in the 2024 pager attacks, “it became necessary to condemn the US administration and to question the credibility of its claim of friendship with Lebanon.”
