Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and First Lady Nehmat Aoun visited Amani Bazzi Sharara on Friday morning, the mother who survived an Israeli strike on a car in South Lebanon on September 21, which killed three of her children and her husband.
Ms. Bazzi Sharara survived along with another of her daughters, Aseel, but both are seriously injured and remain hospitalized in Beirut.
President Aoun and the First Lady visited the injured lady at the American University of Beirut Hospital (AUBMC), where they heard an update on the health of the two survivors of the Bint Jbeil massacre.
Speaking afterwards with Ms. Bazzi Charara, President Aoun and the First Lady affirmed that “all Lebanese are by her side in this ordeal”, as he praised “her strength and resilience in the face of tragedy,” according to the presidency’s X account.

Ms. Bazzi Sharara lost three of her children, Celia, Celine and Hadi, along with her Husband, Shadi in an Israeli strike that targeted their car earlier last month in the southern town of Bint Jbeil.
Aseel, the injured girl remains in intensive care.
